TiszaTextil plays a major role in making the industrial bag business employee and environmentally responsible and economically sustainable.

Wherever we can, we support environmental sustainability goals or define common targets with our customersWe practise recycling and upcycling and are dedicated to a circular economy. We also cooperate closely with our partner companies / affiliated companies / associated companies on various techniques such as upcycling of non-separable plastics by pyrolysis. As part of the industrial bag business and pharma logistics solutions we ensure that our customers benefit from our ecological approach.


Recycling, upcycling

TiszaTextil in Hungary was a pioneer of these activities and works on recycling models hand in hand with customers to combine ecological and environmental benefits. In a highly competitive environment we offer solutions to our customers that use large amounts of recycled materials to produce new containers, e.g. collected foils for agriculture, waste collecting systems. In this way we offer farmers the chance to reuse their plastic waste which would otherwise be lost to the production process. And of course this limits the amount of new materials used and improves our carbon footprint.

Thanks to the efforts of our teams in Hungary and France our first successful batch of FIBC with 30% recycled FIBC material left the Tiszaújváros plant in February  2021 to be tested in the field. Since the beginning of 2021 also our PE Small Bags are produced with 30% recycled material.

Circular Economy

  • Made by nature, back to nature: TiszaTextil uses national research institutes and co-operates with large producers of biodegradable materials to achieve environmentally friendly systems that need no special recycling. Because these investigations are long-term research projects we also make use of other options.
  • Single material use: Today, highly complex composite materials composed of different plastics mean that a single recycling approach is not economically viable. We have therefore investigated new ways of achieving industrial bag systems with single materials and support a recycling strategy that best suits our portfolio and customer needs.
  • Generating energy from non-recyclable waste: TiszaTextil is participating in a development program by fsh-holding to regain resources by depolymerization of organic material to obtain precious/raw materials which are encapsulated by waste plastics or to recover the energy by gasification and/or liquification.

Save Water in Pharma

We are committed to environmental friendly and sustainable eco systems. Minibag logistic system is the most environmentally friendly solution on hand for logistic transports for Pharma companies. This very solution outperforms conventional vessel cleaning systems or drum based solutions. These cleaning systems require large amounts of energy and chemicals, extensive lab work for validation, and disposal of all washing and rinsing liquids. The cleaning and rinsing liquids are contaminated and in the very end, the only recourse is to destroy them to eliminate the chemical molecules. Mainly this is done by incineration which consumes additionally to the water also tremendous amounts of energy.

Our state-of-the-art technology is guaranteed eco-friendly and uses no water.

A Minibag is a composition of neat polymers with non-toxic fillers. Once it has been used it can be neutralized in the incineration process where, beside the neutralization of the active substances, energy is gained from the burning of the bag. As the fillers were chosen so that only waste products are produced that are easy to process, the bag can be burned and energy saved by the incineration process.
